Course Overview:

This transition course bridges the gap between the 7th and 8th Edition PMBOK® Guides, shifting your focus toward the strategic, adaptive, and value-driven mindset expected of modern project managers. You will master PMI’s situational decision-making logic and develop the leadership, collaboration, and emotional intelligence required to drive project success across predictive, agile, and hybrid environments. By moving beyond traditional deliverables, you will learn to align project outcomes with organizational strategy, manage risk and uncertainty, and effectively engage stakeholders to deliver measurable business benefits. Ultimately, this module equips you with the sharp situational judgment and reasoning skills necessary to excel on the PMP exam and lead modern project teams.

Students will:
  • Master PMI Situational Logic: Apply PMI's decision-making reasoning to excel on PMP exam situational questions.
  • Lead Diverse Teams: Use emotional intelligence and communication to lead across predictive, agile, and hybrid environments.
  • Adopt Product Thinking: Shift focus from simple deliverables to driving outcomes, value, and measurable business benefits.
  • Engage Stakeholders Strategically: Navigate organizational dynamics to align project decisions with business goals.
  • Manage Risk and Uncertainty: Assess ambiguity and apply adaptive decision-making to handle complex project risks.
